Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Announces Expansion of Manufacturing Facilities at Manufacturing Plant for Reverse Osmosis Membrane Elements for Desalination in Saudi Arabia

Ï㽶ÊÓƵ (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter ¡°Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¡±) announced today that Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Plantech Inc. (hereinafter ¡°Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Plantech¡±), a wholly owned subsidiary of Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, has expanded the manufacturing facilities at a manufacturing plant for reverse osmosis membrane elements in Rabigh City in western Saudi Arabia that was established jointly with ACWA Holding of Saudi Arabia (hereinafter ¡°ACWA¡±) and Toyobo Co., Ltd. (hereinafter ¡°Toyobo¡±).
The completion ceremony for the expansion of the Rabigh plant of Arabian Japanese Membrane Company, LLC (AJMC) was held on May 29, attended by H.E. Dr. Al-Ibrahim, the Governor of Saline Water Conversion Corporation and officials from ACWA, Toyobo, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ and Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Plantech.
Positioned in the growing seawater desalination markets of the Middle East, this joint venture, AJMC, takes advantage of the extended facilities and aims to distribute reverse osmosis membrane elements for seawater desalination not only in Saudi Arabia, but also in other regions of the Middle and Near East as well as in the countries of North Africa.
