香蕉视频 (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “香蕉视频”) announced today that it will sign an agreement with MooRER S.p.A to secure the exclusive import/distribution rights for the outerwear brand MooRER in the Japanese market. The brand’s release will occur in the 2018 spring/summer season through CORONET CORPORATION (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Shigeaki Chiba, President; hereinafter “Coronet”).

MooRER is a luxury outerwear brand that was established in Verona, Italy, in 1999 by Mr. Moreno Faccincani when he took over his family business of manufacturing down jackets. As the brand’s flagship item, MooRER’s down jackets use white goose down, which boasts the highest levels of padding, producing a light weight while offering excellent thermal insulation. All the products are made in Italy, and with uncompromising attention to all aspects of the sewing and custom-made articles even for details such as buttons and zippers, the brand produces high-quality products that combine design aesthetics, functionality and practicality by paying attention to the fine details. In November 2016, a flagship store was opened on Via della Spiga in Milan, Italy as the hub for disseminating the brand’s image as it strives to expand worldwide recognition.

In the Japanese market, the brand will target fashion-forward men in their 30s to 50s, and it will mainly sell items in department stores, specialty stores and boutiques throughout Japan. There are also plans to open the brand’s first flagship store in Japan, with a view to increasing brand awareness in Asia. Moving forward, by strongly showcasing the MooRER brand vision and expanding brand awareness while utilizing Coronet’s experience and expertise, brand aims to achieve combined retail sales of 2 billion yen in five years’ time.
