Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Announces Capital and Business Tie-up with True Data, Which Has One of the Largest ID-POS Data Platforms in Japan, and Launch of New FOODATA ID-POS Service

Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Keita Ishii, President & COO; hereinafter ¡°Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ¡±) announced today that it has concluded a capital and business tie-up agreement with True Data Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Hiroyuki Yonekura, President and CEO; hereinafter ¡°True Data¡±), which possesses one of the largest ID-POS data platforms in Japan.
Through this tie-up, Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ is launching the new FOODATA ID-POS service using True Data¡¯s ID-POS data platform.

As a whole, the Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Group has transactions with about 10,000 food manufacturers and about 2,000 retailers. Amid the increase in the importance of data marketing on the front lines of the food industry, we began offering the FOODATA*1 data analysis system, in July 2021 and have supported the food industry in utilizing data.

True Data's platform for handling ID-POS data*2 is among the largest of its kind in Japan (60 million people nationwide with annual purchases at the 5 trillion yen level), and they have technologies for implementing the entire process from refining data to analysis and expertise in the utilization of data.
Since its establishment, True Data has provided over 200 food manufacturers, daily necessities manufacturers, retailers and other companies with ID-POS data analysis systems and has led data marketing in the food and daily necessities industries.

Through the tie-up with True Data, Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ will link FOODATA to True Data¡¯s ID-POS data and analysis system and, in January 2025, it will launch FOODATA ID-POS powered by True Data (hereinafter ¡°FOODATA ID-POS¡±), a new service for food manufacturers. FOODATA ID-POS is an analysis system that utilizes both companies' resources and whose data volume is top-level in Japan. It has sophisticated analysis functions and is practically effective. We have subscription programs and a support system capable of meeting the needs of a broad range of users, from companies that want sophisticated, in-depth analysis to companies using ID-POS data for the first time. In this way, we will support more food manufacturers in their utilization of data.
Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ is also a distributor of Shopping Scan*3, an ID-POS analysis and disclosure system for retailers available from True Data, and it seeks to enable more companies to introduce the system.

In cooperation with True Data, Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ will develop data marketing support businesses for food manufacturers and retailers, including FOODATA, and will contribute to the facilitation of data utilization throughout the food industry.
