Ï㽶ÊÓƵ invests in the power generation assets in the U.S., the world¡¯s largest power market. The total capacity is about 5.4 GW through Tyr Energy, Inc., which is the fully owned subsidiary, in the U.S. Under ESG/SDGs initiatives, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ is actively expanding the renewable business and has accumulated expertise. We established Tyr Energy Development Renewables, LLC, a solar power plants developer based in Kansas, in the U.S. that can complete the entire development process from land acquisition, related permits, arrangement of power sales agreements, and other key development milestones. It is currently developing 5 GW of solar power plants through more than 30 locations all across the U.S. The plan is to continue to expand the solar power generation business. Further, since early 2010s, we have invested in wind power generation of total approximately 1.8GW including construction stage projects.
Further, we have completed other entire development projects such as two biomass-fired power stations and the Hickory Run gas-fired power station which brought us the strong development capabilities. The Hickory Run reached to commercial operation in May 2020. Going forward, we continue to pursue the high value-added business operations through the development function. In terms of operation and maintenance (O&M) service business in power plants, another wholly owned subsidiary NAES Corporation provides O&M services to about 250 thermal power plants of 57GW, mainly in the U.S. This is the world¡¯s largest independent O&M service company which expands the business market segments to solar, wind, renewable natural gas (RNG), hydrogen, small LNG, data center, and semiconductor manufacturing facilities. In addition, NAES Corporation provides other services including remote operation management of power plants and transmission, asset management, industrial regulation and compliance, and mechanical and electrical construction. Through the integrated function, we aim to provide the high value added service to the industry.
Combining Tyr and NAES functions, the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Group has comprehensive capabilities and uniquely contribute to the U.S. power market.
